Thanksgiving

As we approach Thanksgiving, I am thankful to be a resident of one of the finest communities in Missouri. Each of us need to stop at this time of year and count our many blessings. I know that in these deeply troubling times, each of us have concerns about what tomorrow might bring, but we do live in the greatest nation on earth and that is truly something to be thankful for.

As we approach the holidays, it is my hope that each of you will enjoy the festivities with family and friends. May you have a wonderful time around the dinner table and begin to prepare for the Christrmas season.

Don't forget that Washington will kick off the holiday season with its Parade of Lights on Friday, November 28 at 6:00pm. With over 50 lighted floats it will be a wonderful time and of course, Santa will be there and will greet children of all ages at the Farmers' Market at Main and Cedar.

Speaking of Santa, he will arrive officially in Washington by Amtrak on Friday, December 5 at about 5:10pm. The jolly old elf will then go to the Farmers' Market where he will listen to the lists of good little boys and girls.

Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday and then plan to join us in Washington, MO to kick off the Christmas holiday.

See you in Washington!
